Welcome! This is a rhythm-based game where you tap notes using your muscle activity — powered by EMG (Electromyography) from your biceps. Simultaneously, gyroscope data is visualized to monitor wrist or elbow movement range, useful for tracking motor control or rehab progress.
⚡ Signal Setup
This game uses:
🎯 EMG (Biceps) to trigger note hits based on muscle activation
📈 Gyroscope to monitor range of motion during play
Device required: Shimmer3R (EMG + Gyro) Firmware: v1.0.22 or later
💪 EMG Electrode Placement — Biceps
📍 Target: Biceps brachii (main upper arm muscle)
🔘 Where: Midpoint between shoulder and elbow crease, on the front of upper arm
Flex your elbow to locate the bulging bicep
Place the two EMG electrodes (brown and red) along the muscle belly, aligned with the arm. Note: The brown and red electrodes are interchangeable because the EMG signal is rectified (absolute value is used)
Place the green reference electrode on a neutral bony area (e.g. wrist, elbow, or shoulder)
✅ Tip: Flex your biceps to trigger in-game actions. You can adjust the activation threshold using the slider — increasing it makes detection less sensitive, while lowering it makes it more sensitive.
